Tubeless Tyres

Running without inner tubes, sealed instead with liquid latex.

Sealant plugs punctures on the roll

Simplified schematic — not to scale.

What it is

Tubeless tyres seal directly onto the rim without a separate inner tube, with liquid sealant inside that plugs small punctures automatically as they happen. It generally means fewer stops for punctures and the option to run lower pressures for extra grip and comfort.

Why it matters

It trades a slightly fiddlier initial setup, and occasional sealant top-ups, for far fewer roadside puncture repairs.
